oops my inner 12-year old is showing

No matter how many times I abandon Neopets, I always end up coming back to it.

S-U-G-A-R, jump into your racing car

I finally saw Wreck-It-Ralph on Friday! It really feels like I'm the last person on the planet to have seen the film because practically everyone I know has watched it already... multiple times. weeps
I loved it! There was a lot more depth to the story than I anticipated. My only gripe about the movie is that some of the dialogue could've been left out. It was kind of hard to sit through at times just because of how unnatural it felt? I mean hey let's get back to looking at pichurs

I saw several artists on tumblr draw themselves as Sugar Rush characters and I wanted to do it too 'v' I had a blast with this!

Don't get left in her cinnamon dust :U

I'm kind of glad I'm not an animator

I finished my self-portrait animation! The quality dropped considerably when I uploaded it onto YouTube which kind of sucks. Quality aside, I hope someone gets a kick out of it.

Animation is super cool, but it's a lot of work! I'm happy sticking with storyboards and other pre-production stuff.

I should be working on a project, but...

Haven't used my Pentel Pocket Brush Pen in a while, so I made Mia and Godot from Ace Attorney as my guinea pigs. Ace Attorney is my all-time favorite DS game! It's probably had the most profound influence on my art than anything else.

What better way to illustrate impatience than through a character whose head is literally a bomb with a fuse...

Every once in a while I have this urge to draw Speed Racer. I loved the anime as a kid and I liked the live-action movie that came out several years ago! To be fair it's kind of really lame, but I am actually 6 years old and do not care

the 6th image will be me 2 weeks from now

6 key frames out of an animation that's supposed to serve as a self-portrait. I wanted the visuals to be bright and fun to reflect those aspects of myself, and then I made clocks a motif to convey that I tend to be conscious of time--wasting time, worrying about time, wondering over how quickly it flies...

...but I value my work too much to procrastinate for long.

sketches

A small sample of sketches from my sketchbook. Only sharing the ones I like because I dO wHaT i wAnT

Every week or so my professor issues a sketch word, which is a random word we theme our sketchbook drawings around. We've had words like "stick," "sleep," and "rebel" so far. "Stick" has been my favorite since you can take it in a lot of different directions, though "sleep" is a good one too!

stuff I drew this summer

If Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie were human...

The Legend of Korra fanart with a nice nod to Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

The rest of these are commissions.

It's been a productive summer!

it's time

--to get active on blogger and post art on here. Here's some schoolwork I've done in Spring 2012!

Book from Firefly for a character design assignment

This is a villain I designed that belongs in the above comic's universe. He's not the head villain, but rather the head villain's right-hand henchman.

These next two pages were actually drawn in 2011, but I like them a lot so I'm keeping them here. l: There isn't meant to be any dialogue.
